First session of the Working Group on discrimination against women in law and practice

The first session of the Working Group will take place from 6 to 10 June 2011 in Geneva.

The Human Rights Council, in Resolution 15/23 adopted at its 15th session (September/October 2010), established, for a period of three years, a working group of five independent experts on the issue of discrimination against women in law and practice. Members of the Working Group, of balanced geographical representation, were appointed by the Human Rights Council in March 2011 and assumed their functions on 1st May 2011.
