Expert Seminar on indigenous peoples and education:

An Expert seminar on Indigenous Peoples and Education took place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, from 18th to 20th of October 2004. (agenda, for reference)

The Seminar was organized with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization to support the work of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous peoples, Mr. Rodolfo Stavenhagen, whose report to the 2005 session of the Commission on Human Rights will be focused on this theme (see document E/CN.4/2005/88/Add.4).
