In accordance with the Resolution of the Commission on Human Rights the Special Rapporteur is mandated to carry out field missions with a view to assisting the Governments concerned in finding appropriate solutions to deal with the illicit traffic and dumping of toxic and dangerous products and wastes, especially in African and other developing countries. Reports on the missions are presented to the sessions of the Human Rights Council as addenda to the main annual reports.
