Regional workshop on human rights education in the primary and secondary school systems, 13 – 15 May 2008, Yaoundé, Cameroon

On 13-15 May 2008, a regional workshop on human rights education in primary and secondary school systems will be organized in Yaoundé, Cameroun, by the United Nations Sub-Regional Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa and ISESCO (Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).

The specific aim of the workshop is to develop knowledge and skills with regard to human rights education content and methodologies among a pool of selected individuals involved in the school system in the following countries: Benin, Cameroun, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon and Guinea. The overall objective is to support the integration of human rights education in the national school system of those countries.
