Celebrity footballer Christian Karembeu, a member of France's 1998 World Cup winning squad and current captain of FC Servette Geneva, will participate in a friendly training session with young footballers from Geneva's Grand-Saconnex club and the WHO women's team. Organised by the Health and Human Rights team and the HIV/AIDS Department, the activity represents the millions of young people and football fans around the world who embrace the message of joining the two global movements of football and the promotion of human rights in the context of HIV/AIDS. The cartoon HIV/AIDS Stand Up for Human Rights, sponsored by FIFA, will be disseminated at the event, which will be followed by a media event with Dr Jim Kim, Director of the HIV/AIDS department of WHO.
