As a prelude to International Human Rights Day, a workshop for 20 Editors-in-Chief and senior journalists was held in Kabul on 4 December.

The one-day workshop, will be repeated in regional centres this week, the objectives of the workshop were:

- sensitize the participants to human rights issues
- encourage the publication of articles and broadcast programmes on human rights
- encourage human rights reporting

AIHRC will inaugurate a monument dedicated to human rights as part of its celebration of International Human Rights day on Saturday 11 December at 10:00 am.
