The Special Procedures assumed by the Human Rights Council are thematic and country-related. From 2002 to 2007 the mandate of the Personal Representative of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the situation of human rights in Cuba was ensured by Ms. Christine Chanet (France). The mandate was discontinued in 2007.
