8th session of the Human Rights Council - NGO & NHRI List of Speakers

Modalities for NGO oral interventions will be posted on the HRC Extranet under the NGO Liaison information page.

With regard to the registration of speakers, representatives of NGOs, NHRIs and other observers should register in person with the list of speakers' desk as of Monday 2 June 2008, at 9.30 am, in the plenary room.

The relevant registration forms for individual and joint statements may be downloaded below but should be brought in person to the List of Speakers' desk (faxes will not be accepted).

Please note that NGOs registering to speak during the consideration of UPR reports should clearly indicate this (i.e. Item 6 (UPR): name of country).

Only NGOs not represented or based in Switzerland wishing to join an NGO joint statement being delivered during the eighth session may inform the Secretariat in advance of the debate by filling the below form, duly signed, and send a scanned copy to civilsocietyunit@ohchr.org.

NOTE : In order to facilitate the participation of NGOs not represented in Geneva/Switzerland, pre-inscriptions by electronic mail will be allowed for NGOs not based/represented in Switzerland, as soon as the List of Speakers opens in the plenary room (9.30 am on Monday, 2 nd of June 2008). The relevant pre-inscription form can be downloaded below. It should be emailed to civilsocietyunit@ohchr.org. Inscriptions will be taken on a first come first serve basis, taking into account their logged time (both on the hard-copy inscriptions and on the e-mailed ones).
