Highlights

Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture concludes mission to Sweden - 18 March 2008

In accordance with articles 6 and 7 of the of the Optional Protocol, the Secretary-General, in a note verbale dated 18 July 2006, invited the States parties to submit their nominations for the election of ten members of the Subcommittee on Prevention within three months i.e. by 18 October 2006.

Note: OPCAT entry into force occurs on the 30th day after date of deposit of instrument of ratification or accession. Dates given are for entry into force.
